The community is baffled when the Crypto.com token receives a hashtag from the Twitter brand

The Crypto.com Chain (CRO) token is now the second cryptomon currency to receive an emoji hashtag on Twitter. This follows a similar move for Bitcoin (BTC) in February.

Since Thursday, tweeting the hashtag „#CRO“ automatically adds the Crypto.com logo, similar to tweeting „#Bitcoin“ or „#BTC“.

The company launched a promotional gift campaign in connection with the event.

Cointelegraph contacted Dorsey for more information on emoji hashtags, but did not receive a response.
